Directions to the Roger Needham Building, West Cambridge Site, CB3 0RB

By train to Cambridge station

Train travellers are advised to take a taxi from the station, or one of the frequent buses to the West Cambridge site:

  • Taxi
    Taxis can be found outside the main entrance to Cambridge Railway Station.

  • Uni 4 bus
    Exit the station and immediately turn left and walk 200m, at the junction with Hills Road cross over to Brooklands Avenue, the bus stop is about 100m ahead on the left.
    Take the Uni 4 service out to JJ Thompson Avenue, off Madingley Road, from the bus stop outside the Whittle Laboratory it is only a minute's walk to the Roger Needham Building.

By bus

The Uni 4 stops nearby in JJ Thompson Avenue.
The City 4 also stops nearby in Madignley Road.
You can also use the Madingley Road/Newmarket Road Park & Ride.

By car, via M11, J13

Take Junction 13 off the M11.
Turn right onto Madingley Road (A1303), towards Cambridge.

Note: If you require parking, you should turn left into Madingley Road Park & Ride car park, and park there.
It is a 5-10 minute walk to the Roger Needham Building - see map below.

After 0.5k turn right into the West Cambridge Site onto JJ Thomson Avenue.
After 100m turn left at the Whittle Laboratory, and follow the road round to your right.
The Roger Needham Building is on your left.

Parking

Unfortunately we can't offer parking spaces, but you can use the Madingley Road Park & Ride parking facilities which are close to the venue.
